Hi, need some help on serial dilution. I do a serial dilution of virus stock from 1:10 to 1:10^6 (0.1ml to 0.9ml). I add 0.1ml of the 1:10^3 into a well (24-well plate). Now the actual dilution is it 1:10^4 of the stock or still 1:10^3?? thks

I think you're asking if you take 0.1ml of your 1ml dilution and put it into an empty 24 well plate, is it 10x less concentrated? If so the answer is no. If that well contained 0.9ml of another liquid already, then the answer is yes.
