I extract DNA from human stool samples with QIGEN method, most of time are good, the ratio of A260/280 are about 1.7 - 2.0, but a couple of times I got negative reading in A260 or A280 or both, what's wrong?

most probably you dont get the DNA, or is too low for the detection range.
