I'm using COS-1 cells for transactivation assay. However, I have a question about COS-1. Does COS-1 contain live SV40 virus??? Is this cell line infectious? Thanks

Cos-1 cells have been immortalised by the large-T antigen of SV40, they do not shed live virus. There are cell lines that do shed viruses however.
