Hi people.
I have my protein of interest TAP-tagged (Calmodulin binding - TEV cleavage - Protein A) I Just wanted to do a simple pull down and then do a western to confirm a protein I know binds the native protein also binds the TAP-tagged version.
So basically I Just want to do one of the steps in the TAP protocol, pull it down using the Protein A section. So protocols I have read have used IgG - beads, the question I have Is could I use Protein G beads to bind nonspecific IgG antibody and then pull down the protein A in the TAP-tag?
Would this work as a solution or should I just buy IgG beads.
Thanks a lot, JP
