I am looking into doing a plasma membrane fractionation using a sucrose gradient. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and could let me know how much protein you were able to extract.
I will be working with cells and am trying to estimate the amount of membrane protein I can get from a 10cm plate. I know the amount will be dependent upon the cell type, culture conditions and fractionation procedure, but I am just looking to get a rough idea of what to expect from this. Thanks.
