In my new lab we want to test if some substances have any effect on cell proliferation/apoptosis/necrosis!

We are mainly interested in testing some colon, mammma, prostate and pancreas cancer cells  - I have to decide which cell lines should be purchased for this purpose!

could any of you give me some recommendations which cell-lines are the "classical" ones to be tested???

Colon – Caco2
Prostate- PC3
Breast -  MCF-7
