Hi all,
I used dynabeads protein G for with anti-rabbit antibody to immunopurify my protein. but, i couldnt' immunoprecipitate!
I'm wondering if its question of protein G, and i want to try Protein A. I found protein A-agarose aliqot and i want to try to check if i could pull down!
i would like to ask if protein A-sepharose is better than A- agarose in my case (to purify my protein from cerebral lysate)!!
thanks for help
Protein A-agarose or A-sepharose for immunoprecipitation?

sepharose is ge healthcare's (nee pharmacia) brand name for agarose. protein a-sepharose and protein a-agarose are virtually the same.

well, there are some aging and quality control issues but for your purpose it should make no significant difference (i prefer sepharose to generic agarose).
