I was wondering, whether someone knew, if acetone treatment of frozen tissue sections completely arrests mobility of surface proteins within the cell membrane, i.e. if immunfluorescence antibody staining of surface epitopes shows accumulation on one side of the cell, this means true protein accumulation and not just capping by crosslinking antibody. Please let me know of anyone, who knows for sure.Ines Gutgemann.
