a. heat exchange in the limbs of seals and whales.

b. heat exchange in the legs of wading birds

c. gas exchange in the gills of fish.

d. gas exchange in the alveoli of humans.

e. chloride transport in the loop of henle of humans

Which one do you think is correct, and why?  Which ones do you know are not correct -- that is which ones do you know are examples of countercurrent exchange mechanisms?

I think that choice E would make total sense because its not being diffused across the membrane. The loop on henle is not permeable right?
