Hi,

I am looking at miR-19 in particular and I have just found out it is part of the miR-17 cluster. I have also just found out that there is a miR-19a and miR-19b. From target scan they appear to have the same seed sequence so Im not sure what the difference is between them?? I got in a pre-cursor for miR-19a, should I be considering miR-19b too?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Although 19a and 19b may target the same gene(s), you might want to express 19a, 19b and 19a+19b to see if there's anything different.  Also, you might want to make sure the level of expression are the same.
