Have a great birthday
I knew it! I knew it! Well, not in the sense of having the slightest idea, but I knew there was something I didn't know.

Happy Birthday Swanny!!!
Wish you still young and energetic as ever....

Thanks very much everyone! I shall keep your sayings in my slightly addled mind as I drag my aged carcass around the lab!!

I think I'd prefer to be considered like a fine wine than a block of cheese, but I take you point! Hey, if I can't laugh at myself, who can I laugh at?

@casandra, I think my problem is more one of furniture: my chest is now heading towards my drawers!

:)...I never laughed this hard, swanny....

but, ok, since it's your birthday, we shldn't disappoint your addled mind and ageing carcass....

and so, fine wine it is, I meant you are....does a Le Montrachet 1978 sound good to you?

also, may I recommend that you start wearing suspenders so you'd not trip on your drawers?

and lastly, we hope you had a great time.....btw, what gifts did you get this time (aside from the anti-ageing creme?) :P

Sure thing! Could I have a case?

Oh, the usual. Zimmer frame, hearing aid batteries, subscription to "Old Geezer Monthly", some soft biscuits and denture cream...

I don't know, you young people, no respect for the old! (At least that what my mother reckons: "No-one cares when you're old", she says, and we just tell her to be quiet and go back to her quilting... )

:D...another telltale sign of ageing, swanny: cantankerousness....but we luv you really and bioforum's not the same without you.....(I had to google Zimmer frame...and the "Old Geezer Monthly"....may I recommend some other large print reading materials ;).....)

seriously, any special gifts...aside from the usual 20 bottles of wine and hard liquour?

...hope you had a fantastic time....
