So, I would like to know whether antigen retrieval methods are changed when we use zinc fixative instead of formalin. If so, what method should I perform? If not, what is the best method?

I'm asking this because I am using immunohistochemistry to detect hypoxia-induced factor 1 (HIF-1) in the lung tissue of a newborn rabbit and HIF-1 is easier to see when zinc fixative is used.
