Hi all,
Anyone can tell me whether the two plasmids, CMV-delta R8.2 and pCMV-delta R8.2, are the same? If not, which one is fit for producing lentivirus?

They should be the same. They were derived from R9 by deleting Env and other HIV accessory genes. This is 2nd generation Gag-Pol maker and good for lentiviral vector with wild-type LTR.

Second generation systems will also package third generation lentiviral vectors (in addition to second generation vectors).
This one should express TAT which is required for all second generation vectors and dispensible for third-gen
