high con of auxin for callus but why shoot develope???

Hi every one


the story that


I was do experiment and I used media contain different concentration of auxin ( 15mg/l) and 30mg/l . I used that to study its effect on Peanut embryo

I expected to get callus
but actually what happened is that I got shoot when I cultured the epicotyl




I want to know the reasons:???

Dont you need both auxine and cytokines to get callus?

I remember that auxin was for the growth of roots, cytokines for shoots and both for callus.

But I'll have to check my papers for that because its been a while since I had any plantscience

And I also remember that not all auxins would induce callusgrowth
