Hi everyone,

I am trying to visualise reactive oxygen species in tissue. I was applying dihydroethidium (DHE) to section and got some staining. This dye is somewhat specific for superoxide. Therefore, I thought inhibitng superoxide dismutase would increase staining, but it decreased the staining. For SOD inhibition I have used a Cu chelator Ammonium tetrathiomolybdate. Anyone has an idea, why SOD inhibition decreases DHE staining?

Thabks in advance.

Cheers
Alexander
