I have a small problem regarding the determination of the Degreee of deacetylation
of a chitosan sample by first derivative Uv spectroscopy.
I obtained the first derivative spectrum of a chitosan solution using a
Simadzu Uv-1700 Spectrophotometer and the UV probe software. My problem
is that after obtaining the spectrum the equation for the determination o DD degree
of chitosan needs the peak height of the spectrum of the control solution (N-acetil-glucosamine)
but i don't know how to do it, the software does not provide any option to measure the peak
height. Could please someone help me i'm really in need of some advice.
