I'd like to block specifically phagocytosis in ARPE-19 cells (derived from the retinal pigment epithelium, which exhibit phagocytosis) with the help of siRNA.
I already tried siRNA against SEPTIN2, though this didn't really influence uptake of Invitrogen's Bioparticles or 1 µm spheres in the cultured ARPE-19 cells.
Do you have alternative options of proteins that, once downregulated with siRNA, will inhibit phagocytosis in these cells?
