Regarding Immunohistochemical Staining,  Positive results :  if  staining  is preserved in > 20% of the cells  Negative results : if  staining  is preserved in < 20% of the cells

Then how we can define the reduced expression of certain protein based on immunohistochemical staining only ?  Thanks.
