I want to stain RNA in 8M urea denaturated polyacrylamide gel. I must remove urea from gel prior to stain beacuse urea react with silver. Do you know how can I remove it? I found only one information that I should incubate gel in 1xTBE buffer for 15min before staining

any other tips?

best regards

soaking is the way to remove urea from the gel. you were instructed to soak in tbe, we soak in fixative (methanol/acetic acid). you can use a relatively large volume once or can use less more than once.
