Rat rRNA

I have extracted the total RNA from whole rat embryo using Gentra. I saw 3 bands on my agarose gel. What are they? Does the rat have 3 rRNA?

I would know if it's possible to clone a gene by homolgies of sequences with others species by using primers in one species and primers in other species?tanks
