Hi,does anyone have experience with crosslinking proteins in cells or cell extracts?

I don't think you can do crosslinking for crude protein extract because there is lots lots of proteins being able to participate the crosslinking reaction. Pierece is a good company to make crosslinking reagents.

Try precipitation with TCA and deoxycholate (5:1:1) of protein:72%TCA : 0.15% Deoxycholate).Dry different methods of protein estimation. I guess lowry's and Bicinchoninic acid methods are best in ur case.Good luckMomin
