Hi
Does anyone know if the standard protein for BCA assay left out in the room temperature for a month, will it maintain the stability? It was my first time buying that BCA assay kit. I did not aware that the standard must be kept in the 2-8 degree C. Is it possible for me to use it for my assay?

if it was rehydrated then it is probably shot. if not then you should determine if you can get it all into solution. if not then it is shot.
best to buy a fresh standard (shouldn't be too expensive).

Hey there.... corerct me if i am wrong.... if u using the pierce (Thermo) kit for BCA.. the standard supplied with it is BSA... which is liquid and the storage temperature is Room temepature!!!! so i see no reason to worry as long as u are not using the protein of your intereest as a standard!!!
