Hi
I am new to Epigenetics and I have just taken over some work looking at DNA methylation of the promoter sequence in genes linked with rheumatoid arthritis.
The previous researcher used both the Chemicon CpGenome kit (for small sample no's) and the Qiagen EpiTect 96 Bisulfite kit (large sample no's) for her bisulphite modification. I have relatively large sample no's and I want to look at several CpG motifs using pyrosequencing. My supervisor is concerned about the price of the Qiagen EpiTect kit especially as we are going to be spending a lot on the pyrosequencing. I was wondering if anyone had any kit recommendations that use a 96 well plate format or could be applied to that format that would be a cheaper option to EpiTect kit.
Many Thanks
Claire

zymo (EZ DNA methylation kit) provides 96 well format, but im not sure if the price will be less...
