Incompatible restriction sites

One of the restrictions sites of my fragment is common with that of the vector, but not the other.  Can I still transform competent cells with this incompletely ligated molecule?  Will E.coli ligate the other half for me?  I am just not sure about this.  Thank you.

ligation cannot occur b/w incompatible sites..........e.coli will not do it for you.
