Modifying collagen stiffness/rigidity in 3d cell culture

Can someone recommend a protocol to plate cells in collagen and modify the stiffness / rigidity of the collagen when plating or eaven better later - during cell culture?
Would help me a lot...

I think your best bet is to search for papers/protocols that focus on crosslinking collagen. I did a quick keyword search on 3dcellculture.com and came across this paper that will hopefully address your question. You could also consider adding a second matrix material to your collagen to obtain the structural properties that you desire.

I use that website all the time to find papers that apply to my research. With a few more details (like cell type), you can search the site for a list of papers that apply to your research exactly. I hope that paper helps, good luck!
