We have tried transfecting bend.3 (brain endothelial) cells with Lipofectamine-2000 and several other lipid based transfection reagents with no luck. Are there any recpies/procalls for making your own lipid based transfection agent, what about a calcium phosphate one? From what I read calcium phosphate is for DNA, will this also work for siRNA? The only other option I found is electroporation but we don't have the necessary tools for that, were trying to make a homemade transfection agent as a last straw.
