Dear colleagues,

what is not damaging (or optimal) column of medium above cells (adherent and non-adherent) because of oxygen supply?

When the cells do not yet suffocate themselves? Where are the borders?
How much is the column of medium above cells critical for oxygen supply in CO2 incubator, where certain partial pressure exists?!? Do exist any of tables for these parameters?
I very desire to find such basic information for conditions of cell cultivation in culture flasks.

Thank you for your help.

    Hmmm, I think it's working

Most people just go with 2-5 mm of medium over the cells. There should be tables around on the internet for diffusion of gases into liquid at different partial pressures.
