My PI has found some Bmax values for receptors given as pmol/mg of membrane protein. Our boss wants these values expressed in units of molarity. Any idea how to convert pmol/mg to units of molarity?
My PI is also designing an experiment to treat cultured cells with agonist. He wants to use the minimum concentration possible to saturate the receptor. We know the Kds of our agonist for the receptors and we are looking for the Bmax of the receptors in our cells. Is there a calculation we can use to determine the minimum concentration of agonist needed to saturate the receptor?
