Yesterday I had sub-cultured my cells and then today I found that still most of the cells are not attached, normally they would have attached by the other day and then I would normally change the medium. So today I waited for another day to wait and watch and then change the medium. This is the third time I did the subculture, and this happened for the first time.
I wonder if this happened because after subculturing the cells, I first cleaned and cleared the cabinet and for almost 10 mins or so left them there and then I took the flasks for observation under microscope and eventually placed them in the incubator. Might this act have caused the cells to detach when I moved them, or this timing is normal, I usually did not spend much time after I subcultured, used to observe them almost instantly and incubate them. This is only the notable change that happened this time.
I have been culturing OPC cells OLN-93 and I recently started with the basics of cell culture. So any idea is worth it. Thank u all
