Position Title: Scientist II - R&D (#17107)

Duties:
- Work with a team of scientists to develop and optimize reagents for TaqMan qPCR and/or SYBR PCR application.
- Validate new PCR reagents on various real time PCR systems.
- Conduct biochemistry and molecular biology experiments, data analysis and result presentation.
- Prefer MS or Ph.D. degree in biological science related major with 1-3 years of industrial experience.
- Require a Bachelors degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related discipline, or the equivalent knowledge and experience.
Position Title: Application Specialist (#17114)

Duties:
- Perform experiments and provide technical content for application notes, protocols, marketing documents
- Manage customer test sites: organize information, single point of contact for all correspondence to legal, field sales organization and customers
- **Note: This department works with the Marketing Product Manager team, but this is an Application Specialist position working in the laboratory**
- Ability to design and perform experiment using real time PCR (quantitative PCR).
- Optional: Knowledge of multiple supplier’s real time instruments and ability to run experiment on Solid Next Generation Sequencing systems
- Proven ability to write technical documentation.
- Ability to work directly with customers, determine customer’s ability to perform testing, work in collaboration with different cross functional teams to obtain a Material Transfer Agreements, write a test plan (with guidance from project team members), ship materials to the customer, and gather customer feedback

Duties:
- Desired to have DNA/RNA isolation experience
- At least 2 years of relevant experience (academic experience including graduate work is satisfactory)
- Mandatory is having run PCR and experience with other basic molecular techniques.
- Not mandatory but highly desired are real-time PCR experience, BSLII training, and Microbiology training.
