I not that self-confident about job application procedure - and wondering how long someone have to search for an adequate job in a lab! It´s the first time I´m doing stuff like this...

I started my search for an adequate job, using all the pages ranging from NIH...to university open position offers!! Don´t want to go to a company of pharmaceutical concern now. I want to give me another 2-3 years in an ordinary laboratory doing some individual research!

Now I am asking you all, especially post-docs, what experiences you´ve made during your application phase?
