totipotent to pluripotent states

Germ cell sperm and egg together mix to form zygote which is totipotent.
Zygote undergoes division and form inner cell mass and other stuff and ICM are pluripotent.
Can we say cell moves from totipoent to pluropotent states or
development stages moves from totipoent to pluripotent states.
does it make some sense,
