And now, a brief history of chocolates for chocoholics (we know who we are ) and non-chocoholics alike.

...... a more fun and chocolatey illustration of the brief history of chocolate in chocolate stamps:

But...Africa is a continent, not a country. By rights, North America should get to include Canada and Mexico, too.

Also Alaska is missing..., and Scandinavia not complete and Madagascar missing too.....but that's not the point...it's to show (especially for European and American people), that Africa is really huge and not only a quite big but homogeneous place. In Europe and America people often just speak of "Africa" as a whole, and there is no room for differences. But showing it's actual size may help to avoid this "one-fits-all approaches" (e.g. Africa as synonym for war, aridity, AIDS and/or poverty). BTW sometimes in Europe, about Asia is similarly talked as if there is also no heterogeneity and differences.

That's a good point, Dr. H. Americans sometimes talk about Asia as if the population is homogenous, too.

I'm (jokingly) protesting the comparison--superimposing the US over Africa is like comparing one basket of strawberries to the whole produce section.
