Planning to watch that too. But not until I pass my viva (which will be end of this month and I am super duper NERVOUS!!!)
Huo Yuan Jia...
It is not a very good movie, but I think it is not fair to say this movie is bad either.
It is based on a true story. If you know the background of the story, you'll appreciate more.
I am touched by the moral of the story - This is not just a fighting/ kung fu story. It is also about how to honour your family and your enemy.
Sanjiun,
All the best in your PhD viva. (in UKM, right?)
You can always get RM10 DVD if you ever missed it from cinema. LOL
Regarding "Huo Yuan Jia" is definately a chinese's movie and not a hollywood blockbuster. It basically mention about the chinese culture, fight for their rights and honors during the "Dark ages" of China history.
Same goes to "Ip Man" which i rate 9/10 (from a chinese point of view). Good fighting actions is basically all I can say.
p/s: I'm Malaysian-Chinese Ancestral Descendant. Opinion might be bias. LOL

Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are a good person is like expecting the lion not to attack you because you are a vegetarian.
