cell line with deletion in mitochondrial DNA

I am looking for a cell line which has a 5kb or more deletion in the mitochondrial genome.

This cell line does not exist. The "common" deletion you are refering to exists only in subpopulations of mitochondrial DNA in each cell of mostly aged individuals. Think. This delietion removes genes from the mtDNA that are essential for cellular respiration. If there are genomes in a cell with this deletion then they would be a small minority of the genomes within the cell since the cell depends on its mitos for energy. Seach the literature. you may find someone willing to give you tissue samples that are positive for this deletion.
