I have been trying to purify a membrane bound protein. It has 5-6 transmembrane segments and very little that is soluble. It is a b-type cytochrome. My efforts to date have failed. I have been trying triton X-114,X100, and Tween 20 in different orders and concentrations and the end result is a non-useable product.
