Greetings,

Does anyone know a small molecule inhibitor for Fas (a cell death receptor) and where can I order it from? I need it to inhibit Fas signaling for cells in culture.

Thanks

Pmaj:-)
There is a fine line between persistence and obstinacy. I have come to realize the key is to choose a problem that is worth persistent effort.

You could use antibodies against Fas receptor or Fas ligand:

the neutralizing antibody against the FAS-receptor (5 µg in phosphate-buffered saline; clone ZB4; Upstate Biotechnology, Lake Placid, NY) or FAS-ligand (5 µg in phosphate-buffered saline; clone NOK-1; BD Biosciences)

and also you could use inhibitor of caspase-8.

    Hmmm, I think it's working

You could try knocking down the Fas... though it would add quite a bit of complexity to the experiments.
