Hi,

I have been culturing PC12 using F12K (Kaighn's modifications, GIBCO) with success and nil problem.

I wonder however, should in the future some problems arise (e.g. being in Malaysia, shipment of media can sometime arrive late, and F12K is not usually stocked by local distibutors), if it is possible to culture PC12 in the folloiwng media:

1. SIGMA's DMEM/F12
2. any type of DMEM
3. any type RPMI

How is the success rate, if anyone has tried any of them, and other limitations/modifications.

Thank you.

Should be OK, but you would need to wean them onto the new medium - mix at different ratios of old to new over several passages.

can I know whether you differentiate your cell or not? If yes, did you face any problem with that cuz I have a problem in differentiating the cell.
