URA3::MEL1UAS-MEL1TATA-lacZ

i know  a new gene which encode the Lacz  is  inserted  to the  URA3. But i just wanna know whether  the URA3 still working normally.

If its written with a ":" normally the gene is exchaned to the term behind the : anf therefore not functional anymore. If you want to be sure streak them onto a -URA plate.
