I read about Green Fluorescent Protein expression in Bacillus and don’t understand something….the gfp marker in Bacillus seems to be visible only in individual cells under the microscope and not on agar plates (using a UV lamp). Does anyone know why?
I also find the term "GFP cassette" a lot. What exactly is this cassette?
