Anyone share their protocol for Freezing down and thawing U937 monocytes, In the past I found them very difficult to grow from frozen.

Hi,
I am always to suspend the cell with the cryopreservation medium like 90% FBS and 10% DMSO (precool on ice for 15 min), then store in the -80 C fridge overnight. The second day transfer to liquid N2 for long-term storage.
