Hey all,

this is my first question in this Forum. So maybe one of you "protein-guys" can help me.

I need a soluble Form of a Protein. It's a type II membrane protein. I've cloned the extracellular chain AND the signal anchor-sequence in the pSecTag-vector. So now I realized, that maybe now the protein will be anchored in the cytoplasmatic membrane, is this true? Or will it be secreted at all because of secretory vector?

P.S.: I will use HEK cells as expression system.
