Thymus, smooth muscle, kidney, spleen, adrenal cortex etc., but no skeletal muscle line that I know of.

A primary culture usually won't last through more than a handful of splittings, but are useful in that they tend to give more physiologic results since the lines aren't cancerous, polyploid, etc. However, if you wish to use this line for an extended period, you many be better off isolating your bovine skeletal muscle cells and transforming them into an immortalized culture line with SV40 or by other means.

I would imagine that the structure of a skeletal fibre (ie fused myoblasts) would make culturing extremely difficult. The closest I’ve seen to culturing is a student who dissected out individual fibres and kept them alive for a day or so for experimenting.
