Dear Friends:I plan to use 500bp  cDNA fragment from agarose gel to make probefor screening a genomic library.Do you suggest me to use DIG LABELLING ?Do you know which kit is good ?

Use the kit from Roche Biomeolecular Sciences. It works well and is much better than radioactive methods.

Are you going to use the DIG labelled probe on colony blots? I've had problems with non-specific binding on my colony blots. I used the DIG system from Roche.  However, it worked well with southerns
