We have a mutant protein that may impair the acidification of the lysosome / endosome. We're currently looking at ways to determine if this is happening and have run across the LysoTracker and LysoSensor probes from invitrogen. Does any one have any experience with these? My real question is whether these could be used to determine the actual acidity of the organelles, rather than simply whether they are acidic or non-acidic.
