I want to finish my PhD thesis as fast as possible, but currently i have only one paper finished!

could a multipaper-dissertation (PhD-thesis) be composed of 2 papers:

of the 1st one of those publications I´m the first author
of the 2nd paper I´m one of the co-authors??

I think you should check this with your university and your PI.

at my university you need one paper as first author and at least one more (no matter if first or second). One of the papers has to be accepted, but no matter which one.

I would also ask the PI (if accepts this at all) and check the examination regulations of your university. Often the secretaries at the registrar's office dealing every day with this know more than the PIs...

Also check with your PI - some PI's have additional requirements that are above the university requirements (unless my PI is unique in this :( )
