Hello all,

I am wondering if anybody did mutagenesis in Drosophila by using Triethylenemelamine (or Triethylmelamine, TEM)? If so, would you please share your protocol?

Grigliatti reported that, by feeding 0.15mM TEM, they got a frequency of about 0.2% for deletion in the left arm of chromosome 2. Yet I have no idea whether the detailed experimental procedures of the TEM mutagenesis are the same with those of EMS mutagenesis.

Thanks
