I am doing a research about coliphage in wastewater. The media i used for coliphage detection is 2X Tryptic Soy Agar. The host is E. coli pFamp while the coliphage is male-specific coliphage MS-2. There were 2 types of plaque appeared on my agar plate as shown below. One of them (Red circle) are relatively bigger in size and turbid at the center. Another type (Green circle) are smaller in size,circular shape and clear. May i know whether which of them is coliphage MS-2? Thanks for help.
