I want to use an anti-CD11b antibody. I made a search and found many antibodies but from different clones (OX-42, 5c6, Ml/70;). What does it mean? Which I should choose? Does it should give same result? Is it the same clone antibody, even it's sold by 2 different companies?

I'm not sure what you're using that for. Nonetheless, M1/70 works well for me for IHC-frozen staining. You can get it real cheap at DSHB if you're in a non-profit setting. Ebioscience also have good CD11b Ab for FAC staining. DIfferent clones recognizes different epitopes on the antigen. You might need to look into each clones. antibody companies do specify the recommended uses of the antibodies. In other words, what is the purpose for the use?

Sometimes a particular clone may interfere with the double staining with another antibody, in that case you would want to try a different clone. Or a clone may not be suitable for some applications, such as IMF or IHC. The supplier should provide a list of tested applications for each antibody. If you encounter any decrease in detection when you use a particular clone for IMF in combination with other antibodies, then you may want to try a differnet clone. We've had a lot of success with the M1/70 clone for IMF of mouse splenocytes and lymphocytes.
