Hi,

I am doing an experiment that requires a similar cell number per ml (about 1 million). I have no experience with this bacteria and don't have a standard curve to correlate OD with cell number.

I can't use a serial dilution and plating system because I need this cell culture.

Can somebody help me figuring out how to come up with this number/ml?

make a suspension in an appropriate liquid, count in haemocytometer, calculate cellnumber/mL, dilute (or add cells) so you get the cell number you need

See if you can find something on the web! If no data exist for your particular bacterium, use data from another of similar size. These things usually don´t have to be extremely accurate anyway

You could use a "system" like alamarblue to count and make a growth curve...and recalculate the total amount of numbers with a counting chamber (you do not know living from dead cells then... )
